BBKA Microscopy Training Course

A very important and comprehensive course over 4 full days to prepare those keen to take up Microscopy; extremely well received by those previously attending the course.

The first three days in November cover the honeybee anatomy; an understanding of the uses and benefits of Compound and Stereo Microscopes; their set up and care; microscope practical work; bee dissection and slide preparation.  It also includes advice on the purchase of equipment – new is not always best.

The fourth day in April is timed to allow attendees to gain some practice and experience from that learnt from the first three days, for attendees to check and discuss progress, and to receive further training.

Venue: University of Hertfordshire’s Bayfordbury Campus

Dates:  Sunday 12th, 19th, and 26th November 2017, and Sunday 29th April 2018
9.30 am to 4.00 pm each day

Cost:  Only £210 (£190 for Herts BKA Members) All days include use of equipment and materials, and a buffet lunch
