Welcome to Welwyn Beekeepers Association.
We are a Division of the Hertfordshire Beekeepers Association (HBKA – Registered Charity No 289398), an Area Association of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA), founded in 1874.
Our aims are to promote and further the craft of beekeeping and to provide education to the public on beekeeping and hive products, and the importance of Honey Bees in the environment.
Our membership has been steadily growing over the last few years, and we cover an area from Stevenage in the North to Potters Bar in the South.
We provide support, training and social events to our members and to current and prospective beekeepers in the area.
Our members are able to take advantage of a number of apiary sites in the area, and we have a wealth of beekeeping experience available.
Each year we have access to a number of Courses and Training opportunities though our links with Hertfordshire BKA, details of which can be found on our Courses & Training pages. Our Beginners Courses are always very popular and are usually oversubscribed.
Please see the Contact Us page if you would like information on specific aspects of Welwyn Beekeepers Association or email to email@example.com for general enquiries.
As we are entering the time of year when swarms are becoming a real possibility, please see our Swarms page for information.
Once you are certain you have a swarm of Honey Bees and not other insects, please contact our Swarm Co-ordinator:
